Don’t know where to find Inspiration? Here is the answer!

Artists of all kinds are always looking for inspiration everyday. As something that seems very simple and easy to access, sometimes people have a hard time finding inspiration. Trying to get inspired can overwhelming when you are trying to find it but in this blog I’ll share some steps that will make the process a little more bearable.

  1. Step away from what you are doing.

Trying to figure something out that you already don’t know the answer to will make you even more stressed out. The best thing to do in a situation like this is to step back and take a break. Taking a break will help your brain recharge and ease your stress. Taking a break lets you start over and rethink your discoveries when you are in a more relaxed state, trying to think of an idea when you are stressed out is difficult to do because when your brain is stressed, it is hard to come up with ideas at the same time and it is hard to think when you are stressed as well.

2. Find inspirations in hobbies or entertainment that you like.

You will be able to get inspired by things that you like very easily because they are entertaining to you. You can find inspiration from hobbies and entertainment in examples like: The design on the front of an album from your favorite band, scenery that you saw on an excursion that you were on recently, and even by picking out different elements for artwork and imagine the many ways to use it.

3. Keep all of your information in a folder or in a online place that you can store them.

It’s helpful to keep all of your inspiration in one place so that you can be able to look back on your findings if you need ideas. Storing inspiration together keeps everything organized and resourceful to find and give credit where needed.

4. Explore out of your comfort zone

Sticking to inspiration that you usually stick to will make your work redundant and make your work boring to you and your audience. To come up with new content, try looking up things that you are not that familiar with or don’t like because sometimes you will end up with new inspiration and you will might even like what you found! Don’t be afraid to venture out to expand and improve your art style!

10 Inspirational Graphic Design Trends

I read the article “The 10 most inspirational graphic design trends for 2019” by: Mey Reid (https://99designs.com/blog/trends/graphic-design-trends-2019/)

I read this article about future graphic design trends. I wanted to post it because I think it is graphic designers and even artists can utilize this article to get inspiration and stay on trend when creating new works of art. The article goes into depth about design principles that are currently popular today. Graphic designers can use this article to know what companies and the target audience wants to see today when they are designing for brands. They can also use this article to be aware of what is in currently. They can base their style off of the current trends to attract the attention of other companies.

Geometric shapes and 3d type are two of the current trends at the moment. A lot of designers are using asymmetrical layouts and using gradients. Artists are now using warm, bright, neon colors instead of cool and subdued colors in their designs. They are using bright colors to give the effect of a throwback to when pictures were oversaturated. Graphic designers are ditching loud, bold, thick lines and are now using thinner lines in their designs to give a more delicate feel. Fonts are now becoming thicker and more intricate in designs that are created today.
